A Precision Components Manufacturer
Rebuilt the asset ledger with per-unit SN tracking and added continuous stewardship, cutting inventory cycle from 15 days to 3.

Client background
A precision components manufacturer with around 300 employees previously had IT assets co-managed by administration, with records kept only at the model level. As device batches grew, ledgers and reality diverged; each stocktake required a full day of production stoppage and still could not be reconciled. Frequent transfers and part replacements further confused identifiers, making asset loss and duplicate purchasing hard to detect.
Solution
Enterprise Digital Steward started with IT Asset & Operations Management: an SN pool was created and every existing device registered individually, binding model, batch, arrival date and owner. Assignment, transfer, part replacement and retirement were all recorded at SN level, with part replacements attaching to the same SN rather than creating new entries. A TAM Technical Manager Steward then took over day-to-day operations with regular inspection and work-order response. With the ledger and operations system in place, device movement and maintenance history became fully traceable.

Stocktake used to cost us a full production day and still never matched. Now we just scan and reconcile — the numbers finally match reality.
